ProNatal Certified Coach
Allison has been a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) for 12 years. Prior to joining PROnatal Fitness, she spent over a decade working as a top-level trainer for some of New York’s most elite gyms. Allison’s expertise in pre and postnatal fitness stems from her multiple certifications in this area (including PROnatal Fitness), as well as first-hand experience as a mother. In addition to her pre/postnatal certifications, she also holds certifications in Corrective Exercise, Functional Movement & Screening, Functional Strength Training, Kettlebell Athletics, and Precision Nutrition.
Allison can personally attest to the benefits of proper strength training during pregnancy, as it was her own strength training program that allowed her to experience a smooth, pain free pregnancy and quick recovery despite having grown up with scoliosis and requiring a mandatory C-section due to her baby’s position. She is passionate about providing expectant and new mothers with the empowering experience of being strong and energetic.
It is Allison’s strong belief that successful training is about so much more than just looking good. Connection of mind and body is essential in achieving great results– especially when facing the daily challenges of (both physical and emotional) of pregnancy and parenthood. It is Allison’s goal of guiding all of her clients into discovering this by assessing their individual needs and offering continuous support through professional advice, patience and caring.
When she is not busy training her clients (and herself), Allison loves spending time with her husband, daughter and friends! In addition to exploring their new town in Westchester, she loves cooking and experimenting with new recipes that incorporate a variety of vegetables and proteins. There is nothing more satisfying than delivering health to the loved ones in her life!
